PPA5-2

Another project inspired by the PPA challenge this week....

I created the cauldron using the 1 3/4" circle punch and then the wide oval to make the "opening", the bottom is a large oval cut in half. The smoke was sponged with Basic Gray. Basic Gray was used for both pieces and sponged in basic black and highlights with a white gel pen. The spider was punched using the 3/4" circle punch and his legs are slivers from the 1 1/4" square punch. Background image is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the tag is from Eat, Drink and Be Scary.

PPA5-1

I created this gable box from a tutorial found here, using the new Sweet Centers from the Holiday Mini Catalog available on Tueday!! I punched the center out using 1 3/4" circle punch and the center with the 1 1/4" circle. It's hard to see in the picture, but the 1 1/4" circle is layered on a window sheet. There is also DSP on the "back wall" of the gable box so that you can see it through the box.

1st Day of School

My little guy starts kindergarten on Wednesday!! I can't believe it, where does the time go? I found a really cute layout (sorry can't remember where) and combined it with a punch class I took online (http://www.stampwithheather.typepad.com/) and used them to create a double page layout that will be all ready to go for the first day.....

Anything BUT a card - PPA4

The new folders Stampin' Up has available are beautiful!!! With most of my clubs starting up next month I wanted to give all my members something that they can keep all of their items in and this is what I came up with....
Each folder will be monogrammed with their initial and has a coordinating tab with Velcro to help keep it closed. The tab is made out of matching DSP and chipboard (from the DSP packs) for added strength.
The inside has a pocket on the left side for a current Mini and the upper pocket is designed to hold the punch card that I will be handing out. The right side has a matching binder clip that will hold their weekly instruction sheets and current promotions.

Double Page Layout

I used this layout in my July scrapbook club....

The base pages are Whisper White, stamped with the Greenhouse Garden set (did I mention I love this set). I then layered two Rich Razzleberry 8 1/2 X 11 horizontally. The additional mats are Crushed Curry & Pumpkin Pie(all 4 X 6) and two journaling block from the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP. I also used the DSP for the Daisy and a corduroy button in Pumpkin Pie for the center. The small flowers are from the Boho Blossoms Punch.

Back On Line

I had issues with my modem for a few day and have finally gotten it resolved. They had to install a filter in the line. Hopefully, now the issue is over and I can get back to posting!!

This card features the Greenhouse Garden stamp sets - one of my personal favorites at the moment.

The card base is Kraft and layered with Rose Red. I also used the Thoroughly Modern DSP. Bermuda Bay piece is pierced. The vase for the flower is a Soft Suede large oval, cut straight on the bottom and rounded at the top with 1 1/4 circle punch.

Kind & Caring Thoughts

For this card I used Crushed Curry for the card base. The green print(Cottage Wall DSP) I ran through the big shot using the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder and then lightly sanded the image. The sentiment is from Kind & Caring Thoughts (hostess Level 2) in Dusty Durango on Soft Suede then punched out using the large oval and layered on a Dusty Durango Scalloped Oval.
Thanks for looking - have a great day!!

Don't put off....

This card features the Hope Happens stamp set along with a variety of the new in-colors. I used the Circle Scissors to cut the circle out around the sentiment and then punched holes so that the ribbon could be fed through.

July's Scrappin' Club

This was the single page layout my Scrappin' club did for July. The base is a 12X12 piece of orchid opulence. Lollipop flowers were made with the Circle Circus stamp set, then embossed with clear embossing powder and punched out using various sized punches. The leave were also stamped and then punched out with the small and large oval punched and shortened. Flower stems were cut from Green Galore and Gable Green cardstock.

Boxed Cards Set

This was one of the AMAZING projects from the last round of UStamp. Click on my Blinkie for more information about UStamp (and tell them I sent you :). I used the Simple Friendship set combined with Parisian Summer DSP (retired, but I still love it). This was included in my donation basket for the church. Here are the cards that were inside - two of each with envelopes.

Tricky Tray/Chinese Auction Donation

Every year at our Church Festival there is a huge Tricky Tray/Chinese Auction that attracts a lot of people. I always donate something from my flower shop and also something personal. This year I have soooooo many items from SAB that I earned, so I thought - Why Not? Maybe it will spark some curiosity from people in town that don't know what it is and with any luck the winner may turn into a lead???
I included a SS Kit from a few years ago, 4 SAB sets, SAB DSP, SAB Ribbon Bundle, current catalog and upcoming mini along with a calendar and sticky note matchbook (with all my info on the back) and a set of boxed note cards that I made.

Friend to Friend

I just love this stamp set and the colors of the Cottage Wall DSP!! For the butterflies I inked up the polka dot stamp in rich razzleberry, then I stamped off the solid butterfly in orchid opulence and re-stamped on the polka dot to create the pattern. 'Friend to Friend' is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out with the modern label punch, I then re-inserted and re-punched it to shorten.

Pals Paper Arts Challenge

Found this great site that just started doing weekly challenges. Maybe this will help me keep up with posting!! For all the info click here

I used Simple Friendship (pg 105 in the catty). Stamped the flower background with Versamark Ink on Bermuda Bay cardstock. The Melon Mambo print is from the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper mounted onto cardstock. I used a sponge dauber to color the White Taffeta ribbon Bermuda Bay and tied that together with Chocolate Chip ribbon.

Matchbook Calendar, Post It Holder & Business Card

I found this idea here and rather than waiting for an order to come in, I decided to come up with my own template.

Start with cardstock (or I used the chipboard from a pack of DSP to make it sturdier) 3 1/2 X 7 3/4, score at 2 7/8, 3 3/8, 6 1/2, 7. Here is the template for the calendar, I simply used the Crop-A-Dile to punch holes in top of the calendar and secured with two brads. Then mount the calendar to a piece of cardstock 3 3/8 X 2 5/8 and adhere with sticky strip. I had to "shave" a few sticky notes off the top to get a perfect fit and then attached using sticky strip. You can decorate the outside to your liking.

I plan to include this in a "tricky tray" auction for our church this weekend.

SCS Friday 3-D Challenge

This is my sample for Friday's Demonstratable 3-D Project. For all the details and instructions click here. I used Ivory Naturals for the base, Thouroughly Modern DSP for the background and the For All You Do set from the new Stampin' Up catalog! The floral scallop squares and sentiment were stamped in Rose Red and then punched out.

Thanks for stopping by!!
